During our travels we'll list the hotels we use below. We can also tell you where to book them, what to expect and what's close by. For the most part they are hotels that are close to the ferry port or local to Les Closhuis, which we may use whilst the house is being renovated.
HOTEL DE LA PLAGE:

We've used this hotel twice now and both times found it convenient and just what we needed. It's only rated 2-star on booking.com buts scores 8.6 through reviews. It's location was the main reason we chose it the first time - no distance at all to the ferry port, perfect for that early return journey home. The second time we chose it because the first time was so simple. The lady that runs it was very friendly, tried her best with with non-french speakers and made us feel very welcome. Complimentary parking is available (a bit tight on space), wi-fi on site (a bit slow, but serviceable), there are tea and coffee making facilities and miniature toiletries too. All in all a very clean and comfortable place to spend the night.

Known to us as out 'honeymoon' hotel. This where we stayed for 2 nights when we came to France complete on the house, also the same day we got married. The hotel is truly beautiful, set in lovely countryside and the perfect place for such an occasion. wanted somewhere special for this trip and that's why we chose it. We had a double room with private bathroom (amazing bathtub). The host, Etiene, was so friendly and thoughtful, and even recommended a lovely little restaurant to go and eat at. Continental breakfast is served in a very grand dinning room and the stairwell is breathtaking.

This hotel is next to be stayed at. Brian is heading to France in July and will be staying here for one night prior to the return ferry crossing.

LA PETITE JOUSSELINIERE
La Jousselinière, 53220 Larchamp, France

In a few weeks time we'll be staying at this holiday home for a week whilst we meet some contractors and planners. It should be a great base whilst we're there and hopefully be the perfect place to come back to afterwards.
