We're one year on since we purchased Les Closhuis and what a year it has been. Lots has happened and changed in 12 months, the biggest thing being that we have sold the property and moved on to another project.
Brian spent many many hours, days and weeks making a great start on Closhuis but in the autumn we went to France, with the full intention of carrying on clearing the barn and making progress on the property, but the overwhelming sense of how big of a job we had undertook started to hit home. With heavy hearts and a feeling of sadness that we really wouldn't be able to do everything we wanted to, we looked at the possibility of finding an alternative property that would be more manageable in the long term. We did some searching whilst we were there for the week but nothing fitted with our plans, budget and ultimate goal of living in France. We returned to the UK and contacted our initial agent, Jane from Agence Thom, and instructed her to get Closhuis back on the market.
We didn't have to wait too long before we had some interest in the property and after some back and forth we managed to secure a buyer and we're now in the process of selling.
To that end, we are also making progress on the purchase of another property, more details on that to come.......
